⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A Proper Cotswolds Stay (Without the Crowds!)
We stayed at Killarney Corner for six weeks while relocating for work and it was absolutely ideal. Shipston-on-Stour really lives up to its reputation as one of the best places to live, as voted by The Sunday Times. It is a lovely market town with plenty of independent shops and great places to eat. The cottage itself is full of character with exposed beams throughout, but also really practical for a longer stay. The off-street parking was invaluable and the external heated office meant working remotely was easy. It felt like staying in a real home rather than a holiday let.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Comfortable Long Term Stay in a Fantastic Location
Killarney Corner was a brilliant base for us over a two month stay. The lounge is very cosy in the evenings and opening the French doors onto the courtyard on warmer days was a real treat. The two double bedrooms are a great size and the storage was more than enough for a longer stay. Having fibre broadband and a separate office space made working from home straightforward. Being under 10 miles from Shakespeare’s Birthplace was a bonus for weekend trips out too.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Character Cottage with Everything You Need
We were looking for somewhere fully furnished for a temporary stay and Killarney Corner was perfect. It is clearly a well loved home and has everything you need already there, which made settling in really easy. The kitchen was well equipped, the gas heating kept the place warm, and the utility room came in very handy. The courtyard is a lovely quiet space and the bike shed was useful for storage. Shipston has a great community feel and lots of independent restaurants and pubs to choose from.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ideal for Remote Working
Stayed here for just over a month while between house moves and could not have picked better. Great for Home working. The broadband speed was excellent and the town itself has everything within walking distance. It is also perfectly placed for exploring. We did a day trip to Blenheim Palace which is only about half an hour away.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Peaceful but Well Connected
Killarney Corner offers the best of both worlds, peaceful market town living but with great connections nearby. Moreton-in-Marsh station is only a short drive away, making it easy to get into London when needed. The cottage itself is warm, characterful and comfortable for longer stays, and having both on-street permit parking and the option of off-street parking was very convenient. Would happily stay again.
